Our Casa Camino in Riegois a bit different from your usual stay.
It's a kind of co-operative, with the intentions and structure of a social enterprise, set up and run by a lively group of people with shared views on what hospitality and a welcoming home should look like. We each put in some money, some time and lots of love and energy.
We believe that it's possible to run a sustainable, eco-friendly small business that not only is well integrated in the local community, but essentially supports and gives back to this community and to others.
All profits go to people who need it. Once we have covered our running costs to offer you the best experience we can during your stay with us, we send the remaining money to rtu.org.uk, a brilliant organisation that helps rural villages in South India.
Hospitality is made greater through the aromas of a hearty dinner, the peace of the mind and the sound of music. We enjoy cooking together and for one another, we respect that you might want some time for yourself to take in the day you just had, but you might also like to share some stories and a song or two in the garden with a glass of wine (or two...or three).
